Joining Hands with Community for Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month

March is not just another month for us at Thomas Pest Services. It's a time of reflection, action, and solidarity as we join the global community in raising awareness for Cerebral Palsy, a condition close to our hearts.

For our owners, Bill Clark and Sarah Thomas-Clark, and some of our team members, Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month carries personal significance. It's a cause that hits home, as they've experienced firsthand the impact of the condition when their daughter, Riley, was diagnosed with mild right-side spastic hemiplegia at a young age.

Driven by our passion for making a difference, we're stepping up our efforts to support individuals and families affected by Cerebral Palsy. Throughout March, you'll see our team donning green attire and actively participating in awareness campaigns. But our commitment runs deeper than surface-level engagement.

At Thomas Pest Services, we believe in the power of collaboration. That's why we're teaming up with organizations like Jake’s Help from Heaven, a non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with complex medical needs and disabilities. Through fundraising initiatives on our Facebook page and donation pledges tied to our residential Complete Care Program sales, we're striving to make a tangible impact.

One of Thomas Pest Services' unique attributes is our dedication to giving back to the community. Supporting Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month is just one of the ways we fulfill this commitment. Riley, the owners, inspirational daughter and a driving force behind our initiatives, handpicked the recipients for our fundraising efforts:

• A 39-year-old woman in need of a repair for her stair lift, which allows her to move safely around her home and access all floors.
• A 26-year-old wheelchair-bound individual seeking a hand-control lift to foster independence.
• A 6-year-old boy looking for a special sitter with a mobile base, allowing him to sit comfortably and safely outside his wheelchair, participate in family activities, and engage more in the community.
• A 7-year-old in need of an Inspired by Drive Trotter stroller, providing a lighter and easier-to-transfer option for his mother to take him out in the community and to appointments.

Our co-founder, Sarah Thomas-Clark, underscores our dedication to the cause. "We aim to create a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals living with Cerebral Palsy within our community," she says. From assisting with mobility aids to providing equipment for daily living, our fundraising efforts are geared toward making a real difference.
