Dear Customers,

I want to thank you for your business and your continued confidence in Thomas Pest Services for your pest control needs.

I'd like to take a moment to talk to our customers regarding the increase of ant activity in and around your home or business. This year we are receiving an increase in Urgent Service calls regarding our customers seeing ants. The increase of rain fall this year is causing ants to seek shelter inside homes, just like us, they don’t enjoy being outside in the rain. With heavy rain fall, exterior nests are being washed out forcing ants to move. You may have noticed an increase of ant mounds in your yard due to the rain. Experiencing ant activity in the warmer weather can be normal, as ants can gain access under doors and windows as they forge for food. Many ant species can forage up too and over 100 yards in search for food.

Here are a few signs of ants indicating an ant nest:

  • Ants seen in the same room daily
  • Ants with wings
  • Saw dust
  • Piles of sand or dirt normally found near the baseboard or an outer wall

It’s okay to see a few ants in the home. Please do not be alarmed! The products that are used on your home may take up to several weeks to take effect, we ask you to please be patient and allow our products to take effect. There is a science in what we do!

We are aware of the concerns of our customers and with the recent rain, we are modifying our exterior services to to rectify the increase in ant activity. We ask for your patience and understanding.

As the Service Manager, I am available for all our customers 24 hours a day / 7 days a week / 365 days a year. Please do not hesitate to contact me at anytime.

Thank you,
Bob Gaul
