    Identifying Bed Bug Bites

Research from the University of Sheffield in the UK confirms bed bugs prefer hairless areas to feed. When hungry bugs were placed on shaved arms, they were more likely to try to feed compared with those on unshaved arms.

Before you go spending time and money to be hairless, there are some implications of having no hair. A heavy coat of long thick hairs it is easier for parasites to hide, even if you can detect them.

    Identifying Bed bug bites:

    • Bed bug bites are not always detected right away.
    • Everyone reacts differently to bed bugs.
    • Bed bug bites are grouped or clustered together in a straight line.
    • The bumps/rash from the bites can be irritating and itchy.

If you suspect bed bugs contact a professional immediately. Thomas Pest Services specializes in bed bugs with the knowledge and tools like heat and bed bug scent detection to effectively reduce the risk. If you are located in or around Albany, Amsterdam, Clifton Park, Queensbury, Saratoga or Valatie contact us for a free evaluation.
